Cowgirl Party

We've missed our blog!  Work was a bit hectic the past couple of months and doesn't look like it is going to slow down, but we've decided to make sure that we carve out some time to write and post pictures.
We are so in love with the cowgirl theme for a birthday party!  Pink cowgirl hats and boots are so adorable!  The cake below is awesome.  For some reason people always gravitate towards a cake. Maybe it's the anticipation of how good it will taste.

Manhattan cowgirl birthday party cake.

The cake doesn't have to have the fondant decorations on it to go with the party theme.  A pink ruffled cake would be perfect for a pink cowgirl party.  Look how yummy the cake below looks!

Check out these cookies!  The green of the cacti really stand out against the pink and brown.  I want one!

No party would be complete without a birthday banner.  This was made for a cowgirl themed party and has been a big hit!  Burlap was used as a base for this banner.  If you are thinking about making a burlap banner yourself, put Mod Podge on the burlap before you cut out the pieces.  It keeps the burlap from fraying and gives it a bit of weight.

There are so many adorable details on this dessert table.  The rope used for the name sign the burlap bows, the white frame with the delicate pink bow, the little burlap flowers as cupcake toppers,  the crates and the ruffled table cloth add to the theme and give this table a delicate, rustic feel.

These invitations are so pretty.  I love the lace detail and how they fold open.
